Community Engagement Volunteer Program
Our Community Engagement Program provides you and other members with relevant and useful public education experience within your community. The program also arranges for you to connect with your local organizations to promote spine, muscle and joint health and awareness. We also work to connect you with other local chiropractors. This introduction fosters sharing of ideas and helps you identify opportunities to engage with your community and its stakeholders.
Here are some examples of available Community Engagement Volunteer Program opportunities and how we support your volunteer work.
How We Support You
Presenting on spine, muscle, joint and nervous system-related topics to local groups and organizations
(e.g. stretches, proper posture, office ergonomics, healthy aging for older adults, running, etc.)
We provide you with presentation templates, geared to specific topics and audiences, as well as resources and tips on making effective presentations.
Staffing the OCA booth at a health care conference or tradeshow
(Note: Most conferences are held in the Toronto/GTA, with occasional events in other cities, such as Ottawa, London and Hamilton.)
We provide you with a volunteer resources guide, including suggested conversation starters and supporting materials.
|Attending local health fairs or tradeshows (Excludes major health care conferences referenced above.)||When you or our other volunteers identify relevant community events you want to be a part of, we supply you with print and display materials for your presentations.|
