Sciatica due to a lumbar disc herniation (LDH) and lumbar spinal stenosis (LSS) are completely different clinical entities with different underlying patho-mechanical and patho-physiological mechanisms and demographic profiles. Most important, the management of each condition is completely and uniquely different. Even within each clinical entity there are several distinct phenotypes that require important modifications for effective management.
Up to 47% of people over 65 will suffer from LSS in the next 15 years. Chiropractors are well positioned by their training and skills to make a significant impact in improving walking ability and quality of life in people with LSS and sciatica. They can be the experts in non-operative treatment of LSS and sciatica.
Come to the hands-on workshop and become an expert and significantly improve your outcomes in the care of LDH and LSS. Learn to make the right diagnosis and how to deliver a structured step-by-step and tailored treatment program that include specific manual therapy techniques and exercises instruction. You will acquire the skills, knowledge and self confidence to successfully implement the programs come Monday morning in your clinic.
