Many believe that there is “no health without mental health”. Chiropractors see how psychological barriers can restrict progress in care. To empower chiropractors to recognize and help bring down those barriers, the OCA has partnered with an authority on mental health care – CAMH. In collaboration with the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH), we will host a two-day Cognitive Behaviour Therapy workshop. Learn how this technique can be a powerful complement to chiropractic. The workshop is facilitated by CAMH psychologist, Dr. Hester Dunlap, Clinic Head in the Work, Stress and Health program. A letter of Training Completion for participants will be available from CAMH. This event qualifies for 14 CE hours.
1. Overview of the CBT model
2. Understanding how the CBT model relates to chronic pain, health behaviors, and mental health issues
3. How a CBT framework can be applied within a chiropractic care plan.
