Description:

We need your hands! We are an established multidisciplinary practice looking for a full-time Chiropractic Associate.

A note from Dr. B: I am transitioning from full-time to part-time patient care as I have returned from maternity leave and I cannot keep up with my previous patient load. I truly love my patients and I’m very motivated to find someone who can continue the high quality care they’ve come to know. We get weekly referrals I have to turn away, and I’m struggling to fit my existing patients (from before mat leave and since my return) into my schedule – I’m hoping this is where you can come in!

Benefits of working with Bruce Village:

  • Start booking patients immediately: we have an established patient list, referrals from local physicians, and there is significant need for care in town! The Associate will take all new patients, plus coverage of existing patients that cannot book into the current practitioner’s part-time schedule
  • Competitive split: 65:35
  • Full-time office administration + linen service
  • Natural light from large windows in all treatment spaces
  • Fully furnished room(s): Jane EMR and scheduling, Embodia HEP, chiropractic table, sheets and towels, creams and emollients, and more + option to use multiple rooms for treatment
  • New grads and early career therapists welcome! We will provide mentorship if desired.

Are you looking to practice where patients enjoy and value allied health care, active lives, and outdoor amenities?

Do you want to supplement your income treating an existing patient base while building a practice of patients in your niche patient population?

Are you looking to spend more contact time with your patients, to really listen to their values, and work towards their goals?

Who We Are

At Bruce Village Chiropractic we value community, whole-person health, evidence-based care, and patient-centered support. We are currently a team of a chiropractor, Registered Massage Therapist, two Registered Psychotherapists, a Registered Social Worker and an Administrator. We have a special interest in serving the needs of pregnant and postpartum persons, pediatric patients, and their families, however we serve a general population patient base, including older adults, active retirees, and folks living with persistent and chronic pain.

Bruce Village opened its doors in December 2020. As a new business owned by a new clinician, we understand that patient care and business practices are changing more rapidly now than they ever have before. We are looking to offer a newer model of private practice; a collaborative environment where practitioners participate together in the creation of treatment plans, have input on business practices, and everyone’s expertise is valued.

Where We Are

Bruce Village Chiropractic is located in Port Elgin, Ontario. If you love the outdoors, small local businesses, and a community feel, Port Elgin is for you. We have the amenities of a larger city, including grocery stores, restaurants, shopping, well-known chains, small local businesses, the best coffee shops you’ll visit (coming from a coffee lover!) without the sprawl of the suburbs or city. If you love the outdoors, you’ll love our wooded, gravel, and waterfront trails. In Port Elgin you’re never far from sandy beaches and gorgeous blue water.

Our practice is located in the south end of town, in a century home. The main floor of the practice is fully accessible and includes parking, reception, private treatment spaces, accessible pediatric gym, washroom, and kitchen. The upstairs features an additional four private treatment spaces, waiting space, and additional washroom.

About Our Existing Chiropractic Practice

There is currently one chiropractor working at Bruce Village. She built a patient-centered, clinically, financially sustainable practice around longer 60-to-90-minute intake appointments and 30-minute follow-up visits, with options for 15- and 45-minute follow up visits to suit patient needs. While it is a general practice, our chiropractor has a focus on pelvic pain and pregnant, postpartum, and pediatric patients. She also sees a large population of active retirees, older adults with mobility-related complaints, and folks with persistent and chronic pain. Patients are treated with muscle-related therapies including muscle release technique, IASTM, (silicone) cupping, joint mobilizations and diversified adjustments, acupuncture, various in-office rehabilitation exercises and techniques, and home care exercises.

We receive new patients from physician and other healthcare professional referrals, a high-ranking Google My Business presence, Instagram, Facebook, and most importantly, word of mouth. New patients would be preferentially referred to the new chiropractor. Patients are often co-referred through the clinic for massage and talk therapy, as we value a multidisciplinary, collaborative approach to care.

Who You Are

We are looking for a chiropractor who is passionate about patient care. If you are someone who enjoys working and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, you want to put your mark on growing and shaping a new business dedicated to its local community, and you are interested in whole-person health, we would love to hear from you!

We want you to build a practice that inspires and motivates you. We love practitioners who are passionate about a focused or target demographic. It doesn’t have to match our current practice – we will build your patient base to suit you.
