This workshop will introduce you to actionable tips and communication strategies to help you put your best foot forward.
This fast-paced interactive workshop will cover all aspects of effective communication including public speaking, networking and negotiations. We will explore practical examples related to health care and practice these new skills with interactive exercises drawn from Dale Carnegie Principles.
Workshop attendees will receive a Certificate of Completion and three CE structured credit hours.

Instructor: Ivan Wanis Ruiz from Dale Carnegie Training
Ivan Wanis Ruiz has over 15 years of communication and public speaking experience. Originally trained at the Ministry of Attorney General’s Office of British Columbia in facilitation, he spent two years facilitating interactive workshops on racism and violence prevention. He is a distinguished Toastmaster (DTM), Certified Dale Carnegie trainer in High Impact Presentations, a graduate of The Second City Improv and accomplished actor whose credits include Supernatural, Covert Affairs and Smallville to name a few. He has been a guest instructor at The University of British Columbia Sauder School of Business, The OISE School at University of Toronto and The Ted Rogers School of Business Management at Ryerson University.
Ivan has also put his public speaking skills to the test in a variety of environments from formal awards ceremonies (Latin Chamber of Commerce Awards) to specialty events like Salsa on St. Clair. Most recently, Ivan was the host for the Pan Am / Parapan Am Games torch relay & games, speaking and entertaining groups of thousands nightly.
