OCA Aspire Adoption Specialist Analyst

Location: Ontario-wide (Virtual)
Date Range: December 2020 – June 2021
Volunteer Hours: 20

Description: This opportunity will allow volunteers to get hands-on experience with OCA Aspire, Ontario Chiropractic Association’s (OCA) integrated practice management and electronic health record. Chiropractors will be trained to assist the OCA System Adoption Specialist with the implementation of the software. The volunteers will interact with the clinics during their implementation to support the successful onboarding.

Volunteer Responsibilities:

Implementation

  • Assist with software demonstrations, workflow analysis and training to end-users
  • Work with customers to assist and solve end-user issues related to clinical note-taking
  • Assist with customer Go-Live Support online or in-person (Pre Go-Live, Go-Live day, Post Go-Live)

OCA Aspire Customer Service Analyst

Location: Ontario-wide (Virtual)
Date Range: December 2020 – June 2021
Volunteer Hours: 20

Description: This opportunity will allow volunteers to get hands-on experience with OCA Aspire, Ontario Chiropractic Association’s (OCA) integrated practice management and electronic health record. Volunteers will be trained to assist OCA staff with the implementation of the software at chiropractic clinics. The role will include multiply touchpoints with the clinic during their onboarding and training to ensure the clinic will be successful when they go live with OCA Aspire.

Volunteer Responsibilities:

Program Evaluation

  • Administration of surveys to gather feedback from end-users
  • Aggregation and analysis of survey responses from end-users
  • Recommending changes and areas of improvement to the program based on feedback from end-users

OCA Aspire Feature Development Analyst

Location: Ontario-wide (Virtual)
Date Range: December 2020 – June 2021

Description: This opportunity will allow volunteers to get hands-on experience with OCA Aspire, Ontario Chiropractic Association’s (OCA) integrated practice management and electronic health record. The role would act as a chiropractic subject matter expert to project stakeholders to provide clinical perspective regarding software features, functionality, and design.

Volunteer Responsibilities:

Chiropractic Subject Matter Expert

  • Attendance at the quarterly product development meeting to assess and prioritize new features or enhancements
  • Preparation for the meeting by reviewing documents circulated and ready to share your opinions on the feature being discussed

Local Leader New Grad (Local Leaders Program)

Location: Ontario-wide in your electoral district (Virtual)
Date Range: December 2020 – October 2021
Volunteer Hours: 20

Description: The Local Leader Program offers our members the opportunity to become a leader for the chiropractic profession in their region and work with the OCA to advocate on behalf of the profession and OCA across the province. The Local Leaders Program for new grads involves shadowing a local chiropractor in meetings with the local Member of Provincial Parliament (MPPs) in order to build and maintain close relationships. The goals of the meetings can include raising awareness about chiropractic generally and/or gaining support for specific initiatives/issues as part of our government relations activities.

Volunteer Responsibilities:

  • Support the development of the Local Leaders Program
  • Participate in an orientation webinar
  • Review materials in preparation for meeting with local MPP
  • Participate in preparation call with OCA
  • Attend MPP meeting in riding
  • Provide OCA with feedback on the meeting and complete any follow-up required.
  • Attend an annual Advocacy Day at Queen’s Park and assist with related duties (if and as needed)

Subject Matter Expert Website Content Reviewer/Creator

Location: Ontario-wide (Virtual)
Date Range: December 2020 – June 2021
Volunteer Hours: 20

Description: Subject Matter Expert (SME) Website Content Reviewers/Creators are required to help update and develop new patient information content for the OCA website to meets current chiropractic standards, based on available evidence.

Volunteer Responsibilities:

  • Review and suggest text/graphic/other revisions to existing patient communication web pages and downloadable information sheets/pamphlets to align with current best practices and best available evidence.
  • Provide therapeutic exercise images or videos to complement existing self-management content posts or new content.
  • Revise existing and write new patient education website pages and downloadable information sheets/pamphlets, according to standardized templates.
  • Apply edits to patient education and website pages, based on feedback from communications and other OCA staff members.
  • Research additional content (including text information, exercises, graphics or videos) to fill-in standardized templates for patient education website pages or PDF documents.

Webinar Content Reviewer

Location: Ontario-wide (Virtual)
Date Range: December 2020 – June 2021
Volunteer Hours: 20

Description: OCA Advance, our CE program designed exclusively for Ontario chiropractors, gives members access to complimentary live webinars every Wednesday to help chiropractors boost their business skills and enhance their patient care.  Work with us to help review and evaluate webinar content within our online curriculum.

Volunteer Responsibilities: Your expertise is needed to ensure that current and new webinars are relevant to chiropractors. We require 20 hours; volunteer to review 15 hours of content (15 webinars videos), and the remaining five hours towards completing an evaluation of webinar content.
