Regional Societies

Society membership advantages:
  • Access to meetings of the society, which may feature speakers, resource sharing and networking
  • Networking helps you keep up-to-date and discuss items pertinent to chiropractic, such as legislation, insurance coverage, and chiropractic news items, research
  • Society members help promote inter-professional co-operation by inviting guest speakers from other health care disciplines, and supplying speakers in return to their meetings
  • Contact with OCA representatives, providing members with the opportunity to state their views, ask questions, and probe association issues in detail
  • Access to province-wide awareness programs with an opportunity for enhanced local participation, fully or partially funded by the OCA (for example, the Co-operative Advertising Program)    
  • Access to a listing feature on society website (if available)
  • Access to the society’s telephone referral listing service (if available)

  • Fellowship — getting to know other chiropractors in your community both at business meetings and social events, such as a Christmas social or golf tournament
  • Opportunity to get involved at the local level to contribute to the profession at large
